Nanjangud: Students of various schools participated at the Science Exhibition yesterday organised as part of Suttur Jathra.
Students of Metagalli School in Mysuru had displayed a model of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and also explained the process of launching rockets.
Students of Chamarajanagar Girls School had come out with a ‘Floating Magnet’ and explained the features of magnetic force.
Students of K.R. Nagar School had displayed a model of a ‘Hydraulic Bridge.’
Students of Mylasandra School were seen explaining the process of generating hydroelectric power in simple terms.
Students of other schools explained the Magic Square concept of Mathematician Ramanujan, Multi-media projector, Magic Balloon Principle to ward off superstitions, water purification, Pythagoras’ Theorem, hazards of chemicals and many more.
The visitors were amazed at the general knowledge of the students which created a good awareness on basic science.
