Students protest against University’s decision to conduct exams in a hurry

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly opposing the University of Mysore’s (UoM) decision to conduct annual exams for final year Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students in a hurry at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading fast, the University students under the banner of AIDSO (All India Democratic Students Organisation), staged a demonstration if front of Crawford Hall here yesterday urging the University to withhold the move and cancel the exams.

Maintaining that the University’s decision to conduct the exams at a time when the entire State is reeling under the rapid spread of COVID-19 pandemic is nothing but an unwise move, the students urged the University authorities to cancel the exams, considering their health and safety concerns.

AIDSO office-bearers Asiya Begum, Chandrakala, Nitin, Vishnuteja, Kiran and others were present.
