Students should be able to apply online for graduate courses: MLC

Mysore/Mysuru: MLC Marithibbegowda has urged the State Government to facilitate submission of applications through online portals for students seeking admission to graduate courses.

Stating that he has written a letter to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Higher Education Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayan in this regard, the MLC said, “It is a welcome move that students can now get admissions to graduate courses. Admission process for Degree Colleges in the State has begun amid pandemic fear, but for those students who are living in far off places, to get applications forms and then get admission in their preferred Colleges in the State is not possible due to fear of infection.”

“For example, if any student living in other parts of Karnataka wishes to study in Maharaja’s, Yuvaraja’s or Maharani’s College in Mysuru, in the current situation, they will not be able                         to travel to city and get admissions in their preferred Colleges. Hence, I urge the Officials of Department of Collegiate Education to make arrangements for them to apply online,”                              he said.
