Students should read books on achievers

Study material for Banking Exam released

Mysuru/Mysore: “To achieve a goal, every student should have an aspiration and also read books on achievers,” suggested Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. Vidyashankar.

He was speaking after releasing the study material for Banking Examination, compiled by KSOU for the coaching camp, at a function held on Friday at KSOU premises here.

Dr. Vidyashankar opined that students should understand the values of education. He pointed out that there are several avenues to pursue education and added that the student should choose the right and suitable path.

He asked students not to despair if they fail in the first attempt in any competitive examination as perseverance and determination always pays. He opined that candidates should also think of providing employment instead of just getting employed.

KSOU Registrar Prof. Lingaraj Gandhi asked students to master English language and acquire technological skills without getting satisfied with a degree. He said that everyone should develop a competitive spirit to face the challenges in the world.

Retired VC Dr. M. Madaiah, Camp Convenor Jainahalli Satyanarayana Gowda, Psychology Assistant Professor Dr. P. Manjunath and others were present during the event.
