Mysuru: The ninth convocation of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) will be held tomorrow (Oct. 17) at 11 am at Sri Rajendra Auditorium of JSS Medical College, here.
Sudha Murty, Chairperson of Infosys Foundation, will deliver the convocation address and give away awards and medals.
Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, the Chancellor of JSS AHER, will preside.
A number of dignitaries from academia, administration and industry besides the students and parents/guardians will be present on the occasion.
A total of 1,279 students will be conferred with their degrees at the convocation, in the faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Management Studies, Life Sciences and Biomedical Sciences.
35 to get Ph.D
In all, 41 candidates who share 65 medals and awards have been identified for their academic excellence; 35 candidates will be awarded Ph.D and four candidates will receive the Medical Super-speciality degree (DM and M.Ch.), according to a press release.
