Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Urdu Academy has organised spiritual Sufiyana Ghazals, Qawwali programme and Sufi Tradition Dance at Jaganmohan Palace in city tomorrow (Jan. 23) at 6.30 pm.
Sufiyana Ghazals and Qawwali will be presented by Ustad Ashraf Hydroz and his team while Sufi Tradition Dance will be by Whirling Darvesh.
The programme will be presided over by Moulana Mohammad Ali Khazi, Chairman, Karnataka Urdu Academy. Tanveer Sait, former Minister and MLA will be the chief guest.
Zafar Mohiyuddin, Member, Karnataka Urdu Academy, Syed Shafi Ahmad, Vice-President, Anjuman-e-Taraqqi Urdu (Hind), Karnataka and Prof. Nyamath Ulla Khan, President, Anjuman-e-Taraqqi Urdu (Hind), Mysuru branch, will be the guests of honour, according to a press release from Dr. Shaista Yusuf, Member, Karnataka Urdu Academy and Convenor of this programme.
