Mysuru: Janapada Kala Sinchana and Kalasandesha Prathishtana together have organised ‘Suggi-2017’ in city on Sept. 2 and 3.
Addressing a press meet here recently, Janapada Kala Sinchana member Chandrakala said that the programme would be inaugurated by Folk Scholar Dr.P.K. Rajashekar at Town Hall at 5.30 pm. She further said that U.S. Ramanna, retired Curator, Folklore Museum, University of Mysore will be the chief guest. Dr. Jyoti Shankar, Director Vidya Bharathi organisation will preside. Continuing, she said that Kiralu Mahesh and troupe along with Dr. P.K. Rajashekar and troupe would present Veerabhadra Kunita and folk songs.
On Sept. 3 at 6 pm Rameshwara Krupaposhita Yakshagana Puppeteers led by Vid. H.V. Thammannachar would present the puppet show Sathya Harishchandra, she added.
