Mysuru lads Suraj R. Prabodh (final qualifying round), C. Vasisht & S.D. Prajwal Dev (first qualifying round) lost their respective matches in the men’s singles event qualifying rounds in the ITF F2 India Futures $15,000 Tennis Tournament at Jorhat on Sunday.
Suraj R. Prabodh went down to Kunal Anand 6-2, 3-6, 1-6 in the final qualifying round. In the first round, Suraj beat Sai Saran Byreddy 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (3).
Wild card entrant C. Vasisht lost to Vijayant Malik 6-1, 3-6, 2-6 in the qualifying first round, while city’s S.D. Prajwal Dev lost to Alex Canter (GBR) 6-2, 0-6, 3-6 in the qualifying first round.
