Gonikoppa (Kodagu): Coorg Public School (COPS) here held a felicitation ceremony to Aadya R.A. Singh, who recently made an impressive mark by reaching the quarter-finals of the Asian Surfing Championship held on beaches of Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu.

The ceremony was attended by the School Trust President, Principal,Vice-Principal, Academic Co-ordinators, Faculty Members, Students and Aadya’s parents.

This was followed by a short video presentation showcasing her journey, training efforts and glimpses from the Championship.

Principal Dr. M. Ramchandran congratulated Aadya on her exceptional performance and achievements.

He also highlighted the efforts being made by the school to promote sports among students and his vision of COPS students participating in the 2036 Olympics.

Aadya was presented with a memento and a certificate of recognition as a token of appreciation from School Trust President K. Dhanya Subbaiah.

Aadya Singh is currently Ranked No. 2 in the U-18 girls category in the country.
