Mysuru District Urban Development Cell and National Safai Karmacharis Finance and Development Corporation under the ‘Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act 2013’ would take up a survey of such people working as manual scavengers in Town and City Municipality limits including Town Panchayats. The survey schedule is as follows: Periyapatna – July 15, K.R. Nagar – July 16, Hunsur – July 17, HD Kote / Saragur – July 19 and 20, Nanjangud – July 22 and T. Narasipur/Bannur- July 23 and 24 from 10 am to 5 pm. People engaged in manual scavenging can register by submitting photo, copies of bank pass book, Aadhaar card, voter ID and related documents on manual scavenging.
