Mysore/Mysuru: A Land Surveyor of the taluk was trapped by ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) Police when he was accepting bribe from a person at his office yesterday.
Surveyor Harish, serving at Mysuru Taluk Office, had demanded a bribe of Rs.5,000 for issuing 11(A) land map to one Siddaraju of Talur in Jayapura Hobli, following which Siddaraju paid him Rs.500 as advance. But as Harish insisted on payment of the remaining bribe of Rs.4,500 to issue the land map, Siddaraju filed a complaint with the ACB. Harish was accepting Rs.4,500 at his office in Nazarbad yesterday afternoon when he was caught red-handed by ACB sleuths He was later arrested.
The raid was carried out by ACB SP Rashmi, Inspector Niranjan and other staff.
