Suttur Seer to inaugurate ‘Swadeshi Diwas Sammelan’ in city tomorrow

Mysuru: The State Wing of Azadi Bachao Andolan has organised the Fourth State-level Convention ‘Swadeshi Diwas Sammelan’ on Dec.1 and 2 in city, said Sammelan Convenor Sudheendra.

He was addressing a press conference at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here recently and said the Sammelan will be held at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will inaugurate the meet tomorrow at 10 am. Azadi Bachao Andolan’s Senior Activists Hiralal Sharma, Jasveer Singh, NIE-IT Assistant Professor Vedmohan and others will be present.

Resource persons will give talks on various subjects. At 10.45 am, Maithreya Gurukul (Puttur) lecturer Amruthavarshini Umesh will speak on ‘Desi Education System,’ Rudset trainer Sudhamani will speak on ‘Learning of Manufacture of Desi Products,’ at 2.30 pm. At 6 pm, Chennai’s D.K. Hari and D.K. Hema Hari will give a talk on ‘Indian Knowledge-Study of Civilisations.’

On Dec.2, thinker Hiremagaluru Kannan will speak on ‘Values of Life’ at 10 am and at 2.30 pm, Guruprasad and Metilda Monis will speak on ‘Production of Poison-Free Food.’ This will be followed by a talk at 3.30 by Akashvani’s N. Keshavamurthy on ‘Agriculturists, Urban People and Farmers Market.’

At 5 pm, Captain Naveen Nagappa, a retired Kargil war hero, will speak on ‘Nation and Us.’

Sammelan activists Navaratan, Ramachandra Gupta and Prasannakumar were present at the press meet.
