Mysuru: The Mysuru District Kannada Chaluvaligarara Sangha will be organising  ‘Suvarna Karnataka Sambhrama’ programme  at Aradhya Mahasabha Bhavan  on JLB Road in city at 6 pm tomorrow (May 22).

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Sangha President B.A. Shivashankar said that the event will also feature conferment of Rajashekar Koti award in memory of late Senior Journalist Rajashekar Koti and H.S. Mahadevaprasad award, in memory of late Minister H.S. Mahadevaprasad.

District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the event. Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. Veteran litterateur Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar (CPK) will preside.

MP Yaduveer Wadiyar will confer the awards while MLC A.H. Vishwanath will felicitate achievers, Kollegal MLA A.R. Krishnamurthy will present mementos and MLC K. Vivekananda will distribute sarees to women Pourakarmikas.

MLA H.S. Ganesh Prasad, MLCs C.N. Manjegowda and Dr. D. Thimmaiah, former Minister Kote M. Shivanna, former MLA M.K. Somashekar and others will be present.

Sangha office-bearers Bannur Rajegowda, Madhuvana Chandru, Nanjangud Ravi, Sridhar and Doora Srinivas were present at the press meet.
