Bengaluru: The Department of Primary and Secondary Education is giving away Swabhimani Award to the Government Schools which achieve excellence in administration and academics.
This award will be given from the current academic year itself considering the achievements of the schools. Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar announced this during a meeting with School Development and Monitoring Committees (SDMC) here on Wednesday. The award will be given considering the coordination of teachers and SDMC members in the development of schools, the involvement of public, basic infrastructure available, educational progress, academic and other achievements.
