Mysuru: CFTRI Layout Resident’s Welfare Association joined Mysuru City Corporation to successfully organise a cleaning drive in the locality on Sunday last. The residents came out in support of the drive, led by the Welfare Association’s Executive Committee and President, Y.N. Vijayashankar.

Nirmala Harish, the local Corporator (Ward 43), also participated in the event.

Mysuru has constantly ranked high on the list of cleanest cities in India, even winning the title in 2015 and 2016 and inspiring many to take up voluntary cleanliness initiatives and support the MCC. The residents of the area have said that they would like to organise more such events in future to contribute to the beautification and cleanliness of the city and get back the Cleanest City tag for the third time.
