Swachh Bharat initiative…: Mysore Gujarati Samaj donates toilet block to rural school

Mysuru: Shri Mysore Gujarati Samaj, Yadavagiri, as part of its ongoing Social Responsibility Initiatives and supporting “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” has constructed and donated a toilet block including six urinals and  three lavatories to Shree Vivekananda School in Muganahundi village, off H.D. Kote Road.

This is a Secondary High School (8th to 10th Std.), wherein around 150 students pursue their studies, most of them are girls coming from surrounding villages.

Maneesh F. Shah, President of the Samaj, handed over this newly-built toilet block to the School on June 17. This school is run by Shri Vivekananda Trust, headed by 84-year-old Social Worker Vani Venkataraman who was also present at the function along with members of Gujarati Samaj, Sakhi Vrund, a group of ladies of Shri Mysore Gujarati Samaj and Mahavir Divya Jyoti Group, Mysuru.  Also, Mahavir Divya Jyoti Group, Sakhi Vrund and Jayant Cycles Importing Co., donated books, stationeries and daily use articles to the students.
