Swachh Survekshan-2024: MCC distributes prizes, certificates

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) distributed prizes and certificates to the organisations, Government offices and schools that secured first and second places, in the evaluation of Swachh rankings conducted as part of Swachh Survekshan-2024 on Monday.

The prizes were distributed by MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rahman Shariff and other dignitaries, during the meeting of stakeholders, organised at the Old Council Hall of MCC on New Sayyaji Rao Road in city. The representatives of respective associations and organisations received the prizes.

Swachh School Category: 1st prize – Citizen Convent, Udayagiri; 2nd prize – Bahusar Narayan Trust’s Maharshi Public School, Vishveshwaranagar.

Swachh Hotel: 1st prize – Fortune JP Palace, Nazarbad; 2nd prize – Hotel Southern Star, Vinoba Road.

Swachh Hospital: 1st prize – Mysuru District Hospital, KRS Road; 2nd prize – Manipal Hospital, Mysuru-Bengaluru Road.

Swachh Residential Welfare Association: 1st prize – SBM Layout; 2nd prize – Brigade Mountain View Apartment.

Swachh Govt. Office: 1st prize – Railway Workshop; 2nd prize – Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) Office.

Citizen Convent Founder Secretary & Principal Dr. Maha Jabeen and Academic Coordinator Abdul Muheeb were present.

The Swachh Survekshan-2024 begins from January 2025 and the rankings were evaluated as per the related guidelines. The officials and staff inspected the premises of the participatory organisations and evaluated them for maintaining cleanliness and separation of waste. The best among them were selected for the prizes.
