Swarnotsava-2024: Jewellery Shopping Festival begins in city

Mysore/Mysuru: Shroff Varthakara Sangha (Jewellers Association of Mysore) has organised ‘Swarnotsava-2024’, a grand jewellery shopping festival from Aug. 1 to Sept.9 at select jewellery shops in the city.

Customers who buy jewellery during the 40-day jewellery festival that includes the auspicious occasion of Varamahalakshmi and Gowri-Ganesha festival, stand the opportunity of winning attractive prizes and gifts.

With Shroff Varthakara Sangha celebrating its 80th anniversary, the Swarnotsava this year is organised on a grand scale, with Vibha Events entrusted with the task of making the arrangements. Most of the jewellery shops, numbering about 100, spread over urban and rural areas of the district and nearby towns, are participating in this special festival. Those customers who shop jewellery worth above Rs. 5,000 will be given Swarnotsava coupon.

President of Shroff Varthakara Sangha Amarnath said that during this auspicious season, it is a rare opportunity for those willing to buy jewellery. They will be given gift coupons, on every purchase of jewellery as per the bill amount, along with prizes.

Sangha Secretary Adarsha Murthy said, the bumper prize winner can drive home a car, while lucky others shall be getting gold and silver coins.

Sangha Joint Secretary Harsha Tholasi said, jewels are prime attractions in every traditional festival and celebrations. Most families prefer to shop jewellery during the festivals. Rakshitha Lokesh of Vibha Events also spoke at the press meet.
