Mysore/Mysuru: K.N. Murthy, Deputy Secretary, Revenue Department, has asked Regional Commissioner (RC) of Mysuru to conduct an inquiry into the alleged construction of a swimming pool and the gymnasium built in the premises of the official residence of Deputy Commissioner and to send a report within a week.
Recently, K.R. Nagar MLA S.R. Mahesh and other Janata Dal (Secular) leaders had accused incumbent Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri of constructing a swimming pool and a gymnasium at her official residence at a cost of Rs.50 lakh. The MLA had claimed that no construction must be taken up in the DC’s bungalow premises since it has been declared as a heritage building and permission of the Committee concerned must be obtained before doing any work. However, it has been ‘flouted’ by DC Rohini.
Following complaints from MLA Mahesh, Regional Commissioner must conduct an inquiry and submit report within seven days, said a letter dated May 31, 2021 by Revenue Department Deputy Secretary to the Mysuru RC.
