T.M. Krishna’s book launch in Mysuru on Apr. 19

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru launch of ‘We, The People of India: Decoding a Nation’s Symbols,’ the latest work by acclaimed musician, activist and author T.M. Krishna, has been organised at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar 1st Stage on Apr. 19 at 6.30 pm. The event is open to public.

In this timely and provocative book, Krishna delves into the cultural, social and political significance of the symbols that define the Indian identity. From the National Anthem to the Flag, the author invites readers to move beyond blind reverence and engage in a deeper, more nuanced understanding of what these icons represent in a modern democracy.

The evening will feature an engaging live conversation between T.M. Krishna and celebrated novelist Mahesh Rao, known for his sharp wit and keen observations of Indian society. Together, they will navigate the complexities of national identity, the intersection of art and activism, and the stories we tell ourselves as a nation.

Following the discussion, there will be an interactive Q&A session with the audience, concluding with a book signing session where attendees can meet the author.
