Mysuru: Two young Taekwondo athletes from Kodagu representing India shined at the Hwa Rang Warrior Asia Cup 2026 held in Selangor, Malaysia recently.
Devangi Janmoh won the gold medal in her individual sparring category and played a leading role in India’s bronze medal finish in the team event.
Meanwhile, Tharanga Janmoh also played a crucial role in the same Indian team that secured the bronze medal.
The championship drew a large field of clubs and academies from across Malaysia along with international contingents. Daughters of Kuyyamudi Charan Kumar and Deeksha, Devangi and Tharanga are granddaughters of Kuyyamudi Janardhana and Mohini and Paladka Mukkati Lokanath and Meenakshi.
