The 12th annual scholarship distribution programme of Budugunte Charitable Trust, Ashoka Road, was held at BKP Convention Hall, Lashkar Mohalla, in city recently. Scholarship was distributed to visually-impaired and orphanage students in the presence of RIMSE Convenor Swami Maheshatmanandaji, Managing Trustees B.R. Vishwanath and BSD Nagaraj and others.
Sewage water which is flowing in 18th West Cross of Ashoka Road in Lashkar Mohalla is getting stagnant at a distance resulting in foul smell emanating from it. This has also resulted in increase in disease-spreading flies in the surroundings. Authorities concerned are urged to take action at the earliest.
C.R. Parasmal Kothari (86), a resident of Geetha Mandir Road, Lashkar Mohalla, passed away here early this morning. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, three daughters, grand- children and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill at 4 pm today, according to family sources.
