Mysore/Mysuru: With over a month remaining for upcoming Lok Sabha elections, officials are prompted to initiate preparations for ensuring the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

This morning, a team of Officers led by Mysuru Tahsildar K.M. Mahesh Kumar visited various polling booths in the taluk, particularly in rural areas, to assess arrangements. He instructed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure provisions for drinking water, tables and other essential facilities at the polling stations.

He emphasised the importance of promptly reporting any discrepancies in applications submitted by voters regarding change of address, additions or deletions, transfer requests or any other grievances to the respective Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs).

Furthermore, Mahesh stressed the necessity of providing basic facilities such as ramps and seating arrangements for senior citizens and individuals with disabilities on the polling day. These measures aim to facilitate smooth and accessible voting for all eligible citizens.
