Mysuru: Tajurba, a Sarangi jugalbandi by father-son duo Ustad Dilshad Khan and Arhaan Khan, organised by a Bengaluru-based Concoction Event Company, will be held at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) at Vijayanagar in city on Aug. 15.
The event, marking Independence Day, will be inaugurated by former MP Prathap Simha at 7 pm. Dilshad Khan and Arhaan Khan will be accompanied by Trilochan Kampli on tabla.

Ustad Dilshad Khan hails from the esteemed Sikar Gharana. He is the tenth generation Sarangi player, with roots tracing back to his great grandfather Ustad Azim Khan Sahab, a renowned court musician in Sikar, Rajasthan.
Dilshad Khan’s son Arhaan Khan, who will be making his debut, is the 11th generation Sarangi player of his family.
Arhaan was initiated into music at the age of five by his grandfather Ustad Nisar Khan and father Ustad Dilshad Khan.
Born in 1985, Trilochan Kampli’s debut solo concert at the age of 12, stunned an All India Radio invited audience. His crisp technique, effortless mastery over complex and intricate compositions, easy style and involved playing invoked instant following and recognition.
Trilochan trained initially under Bhaskar Hegde and Mohan Hegde of Purab Baj and later under Madiwalaiah Sali of the Banaras Gharana.
His journey continued with the legendary Guru Basavaraj Bendigiri of Farukhabad Gharana. At present, he continues his taalim under Pandit Anand Badamikar, also of the Farukhabad Gharana.
