Bengaluru: Senior IAS Officer P. Manivannan took charge as the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Commissioner, here on Saturday. The 1998-batch officer will hold the post concurrently while continuing as the Principal Secretary, Department of Social Welfare.
Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, who wished Manivanan following his appointment, said they were committed to build ‘Brand Bengaluru’. Manivannan’s appointment was necessitated following the superannuation of BDA Commissioner N. Jayaram on May 31.
