Mysore/Mysuru: S.S. Umesh assumed the charge of the Deputy Director (Programme) of Akashavani Mysuru on May 31, 2024. 

He will be heading Akashavani Mysuru of Prasar Bharati, The Public Service Broadcaster of India. He was serving as the Assistant Director of Akashavani Mysuru for last four years. Many of his programmes have won the awards at the State and National Levels. 

He has introduced many popular programmes including ‘Kadambari Vihara’ Serial, Features, Plays, Dialogues and Interactive Programmes, according to a press release from N. Keshavamurthy, Programme Executive (Co.).
