Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Science Sanje, Kalasuruchi, Kutuhali and The Academy Trust have jointly organised a talk on ‘Cholestrol: Good, bad and ugly molecule’ by Prof. Gopal Marathe, Head, Department of Biochemistry, University of Mysore (UoM), Mysuru, at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on Mar. 9 from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Dr. Gopal Marathe is a Professor at the Department of Studies in the Biochemistry Department at Manasagangothri.  He also chairs the Department of Studies in Molecular Biology.

After his Ph.D, he worked for two years at IISc., on Molecular Endocrinology. From 1994 till 2007, he was in USA working at various high technology institutions.

Since 2007 till 2024, he has been working at Mysore University, teaching and taking up research. Dr. Marathe has over 80 publications and he is an elected member of American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB).
