Talk on ‘Theatre Education’ at Natana on July 30

Mysore/Mysuru: A discussion on the topic ‘Theatre Education: Present and future opportunities’ has been organised by Natana School of Theatre Arts at its premises in Ramakrishnanagar in the city on July 30 at 10 am.

The discussion is the last of series of events organised by Natana in commemoration of theatre person K.V. Subbanna, after staging of various plays at weekend drama and theatre workshop, as a tribute to his contributions to modern Kannada theatre, in the month of July every year. Since July 1, all the programmes at Natana have been dedicated to Subbanna.

During the discussion, retired Professor Dr. Rajappa Dalwai, Head of Department of Performing Arts, PES University, Bengaluru, Dr. S.V. Sushma and theatre teacher Santosh Guddiyangadi will speak on the topic. Retired Principal of NINASAM, Heggodu, B.R. Venkataramana Aithal will coordinate the discussion.

Theatre person N. Dhananjaya will compere the programme and Principal of Natana School of Theatre Arts Megha Sameera will deliver the introductory remarks. Founder of Natana and theatre person and actor Mandya Ramesh will be present.

The induction programme of students of Diploma in Theatre 2023-24 batch of Natana School of Theatre Arts will also be held on the occasion.
