Mysuru: As part of the Sahasramanotsava celebrations of Sri Ramanujacharya, Hebbar Sri Vaishnava Rural District Upa Sabha, Mysuru, in association with Sri Andal Mandiram Trust, has organised a spiritual talk on ‘Sri Ramanujacharya’ by Vidu. Janaki Seshadri at Sri Andal Mandiram in V.V. Mohalla on Apr. 23 at 6 pm.
Profile: Born on June 1, 1956 to M.T. Srinivasa Narasimhachar and Sundaramma couple in Melukote, Janaki did her schooling at her native, degree at BMS College in Bengaluru and obtained her MA in Kannada from KSOU, Mysuru. She has also completed Hindi ‘Praveena’ exam conducted by Dakshina Bharata Hindi Prachar Sabha.
She developed interest towards Sri Vaishnava philosophy right from her childhood and has taken active participation in talk, poetry, singing and many activities. She learnt about religious, social work and literature from Araiyar Srinivasa Iyengar, Sri Surendra Koujalagi, Sowbhagyalakshmi and others.
Having founded Andal Yuvati Mandali during 1978 and worked as its Secretary, she has taught tailoring and knitting to many and has inspired others by keeping the surroundings clean by founding Women Health Centre in Bogadi. She has been giving spiritual talks since 2005. Vidu. Janaki has two sons including Vinay, who is following his mother’s footstep.
