Mysuru: “The purpose of education is to build competency, confidence and personality,” said Prof. D. Anand of B.N. Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences, University of Mysore (UoM).

He was addressing the gathering during the valedictory of Taranga – 2025, a Man.- Com Fest at JSS College for Women in Saraswathipuram recently.

Stating that participation is important than winning prize, Prof. Anand added that the event gave an opportunity for students to interact with students from different colleges. This helps the students to acquire knowledge from different dimensions.

He concluded saying that failures are the stepping stones towards perfection.

Presiding over the valedictory, Dr. K. Mantelingu, Director, College Development Council, UoM, opined that JSS institution is striving hard to serve the society. He congratulated the management for successful execution of the event and suggested that one should be realistic and set a time goal to succeed in life.

Actor Arjun Ramesh opined that education is the richest wealth and the biggest strength.

Dr. Rechanna, Principal, Dr. V. Gangadhara Swamy, Head, Department of Commerce and Management were present at the programme along with other staff members and students.
