Taruna Bharathi concerts on Mar. 7

Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised two music concerts as part of its Taruna Bharathi programme on Mar.7 at its auditorium in Kuvempunagar.

In the first programme from 6 pm to 7.15 pm, Vidushi Kushala Prasad  will present a Hindustani vocal accompanied by Pandit D.N. Indrakumar on harmonium and Pandit Parameshwar Hegde on tabla.

This will be followed by a flute recital by Vid. H.K. Rakesh Dath along with Vid. Amogh Nadadur on violin and Vid. Nandan  Kashyap on mridanga from 7.15 pm to 8.30 pm.

Vidushi Kushala, a Hindustani vocalist, has done her BA LLB from Christ University, Bengaluru. She is a diploma holder in Music Production from SAE  University, Melbourne, Australia.

Vid. Rakesh Dath was born in a family hailing from the musical village Rudrapatna. He started his music learning at the tender age of 5 and picked up the flute at the age of 8, under Vid. K.V. Madhura of Bengaluru. Later he continued to learn vocal under the able guidance of Vid. S. Yeshasvi. Now Rakesh is learning the higher nuances of flute under Vid. Mysore A. Chandan Kumar.

Rakesh has been performing from the age of 10 and has continued to take up music as his profession. He has performed all over the country and abroad.

He has been awarded the Pratibhakankshi from Rama Seva Mandali, Bengaluru and Yuva Kala Rathna from Bharathiya Samaja Seva Trust, Bengaluru.
