Mysore/Mysuru: SP C.B. Ryshyanth said that a Task Force has been formed to ensure the health of District Police personnel during the COVID crisis.

Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Ryshyanth said that the Task Force comprises of DAR Dy.SP and Sub-Inspectors.

Explaining the activities of the Task Force, he said that sending infected Policemen to home isolation, bed management and admission to COVID Care Centres (CCCs) are some of the duties.

Pointing out that the Task Force centre will make calls to Policemen and their family members twice a day, he said that if necessary, Policemen will get ration at their doorstep.

Appealing the people to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, he asked them to limit visits to provision stores by making purchase of essentials that are enough for at least three days.

The SP further said that 500 vehicles that were moving around unnecessarily in rural parts of the district have been seized  so far  and cases have been registered against motorists for violation of lockdown norms.

Also, those found not wearing face mask are being penalised without any leniency, he added.
