Chinakurali: The Income Tax sleuths who conducted a raid on Minister C.S. Puttaraju’s nephew Ashok at his house in Vijayanagar Third Stage in Mysuru have found Rs. 36,700.

“The officials came to my house at 5 am and searched the premises till 8 pm yesterday and found Rs. 36,700 and they have returned the cash to me,” said Ashok.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Ashok, who is a Zilla Panchayat member in Mandya, said that the I-T officials questioned neither his mother nor wife and he was doing business within the legal framework.

“Everything is legal and I pay my taxes regularly and I have records of all the transactions. They raided my house as I am a JD(S) functionary. The officials have taken certain records including tax receipts and they have asked me to come to Mysuru on Monday,” he said.
