Mysuru: A tea shop owner was killed when an unidentified bike hit him while he was walking near Chamundipuram Circle last night and sped away. The deceased has been identified as Subbarao (71), a resident of Chamundipuram, who owns a tea shop at Chamundipuram Circle.
Yesterday at about 7.30 pm, Subbarao was walking on the roadside near his shop, when a speeding bike rammed into him and sped away. Neighbouring shop owners and passerby, tried to shift the seriously injured Subbarao to a private hospital but he breathed his last midway.
K.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
