Teacher dies of heart attack during census

K.R.Nagar: In a tragic incident, a school teacher who was carrying out national population census, died of a heart attack while on duty at K.R. Nagar town yesterday.

C.K. Ranganath (53), an Associate teacher of Government Higher Primary school at Mullur in Hunsur taluk and a resident of K.R. Nagar town is the deceased.

He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Ranganath, set out for Census work on Wednesday morning at Kuvempu locality of the town, when he complained of severe chest pain. He was immediately rushed to K.R.Nagar General Hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead. Last rites were performed at his native village Chikkanayakanahalli in the taluk on the same evening.
