Teacher injured as triple riding youths ram into her scooter

Mysore/Mysuru: A teacher sustained severe injuries when three youths on a bike rammed into her scooter in front of Gayathripuram Church on July 18 afternoon.

The injured teacher is 42-year-old Anitha, a native of S. Hosakote in Nanjangud taluk and residing at Manasinagar in city. She is serving as a Science teacher at Police Public School on Mahadevapura Road here.

On July 18 at about 3.30 pm, Anitha was proceeding on her scooter (KA-41-X-3140) from Aishwarya Corner in Gayathripuram towards the Church, when three youths who came triple riding on a KTM Duke bike (KA-03-HU-7696) collided head-on with the scooter.

Anitha, who fell down and sustained severe injuries was rendered unconscious and the public rushed her to a private hospital. The three youths have also sustained minor injuries and they reportedly fled from the spot leaving behind the bike.

ASI H.S. Shivakumar, brother of Anitha said that her sister has regained conscious.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case.
