Teachers urged to make students more committed towards learning

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. N.N. Prahallada, former faculty, Regional Institute of Education (RIE), NCERT, Mysuru, has called upon the teachers to make students more committed towards learning various skills.

He was speaking during the special lecture on the topic ‘Teacher Student Relationship,’ at the one-day Teachers Seminar on ‘The dynamics of Interpersonal Relationship in Education,’ organised by Pushpashrama Institute of Philosophy and Religion at R.S. Naidu Nagar here recently.

Dr. Prahallada further said that teachers as Learning Facilitators have tremendous responsibility to guide, motivate and encourage student community to improve their thinking power.

Dr. K. Yeshodhara, former faculty, Department of Education, University of Mysore, highlighted about the role of parents to contact teachers to know the progress of their wards.

Earlier, Dr. Asha P. Pathrose from St. Joseph College of Education, Mysuru, who inaugurated the seminar, called upon teachers to be self- motivated to help students in their studies.

Over 200 teachers, teacher educators and Principals participated in the seminar.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Oswald Crasta, Rector  and Dr. Wilfred Rodrigues, Dean of Studies and Coordinator of the seminar were present.
