Tech Tree Program Course Module  on “System On Chip”

The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, GSSSIETW Mysuru, in association with Gill Instruments Pvt Ltd., Bengaluru, had organised a two-day Tech Tree program Course Module – III on “System On Chip” for 5th semester students of E&IE, ECE, EEE, and TCE  recently under ISOI Student Chapter.

The resource person for   this programme was Gur  jeet Singh, Managing Director, Gill Instrument. The main objective of tech tree course module-III was to make the students understand the importance of system on chip.

Gurjeet Singh briefed about Microcontroller, Microprocessor, 4 Ps used to drive the technologies such as Power Conver  sion, Performance, Price   and Packing. He also explained the Pin Configuration and   Architecture of MSP430F1611, Instruction set, Addressing Modes, Programming MSP430 along with example programmes on Timer Modes, Port Interrupt, LED Blinking, Clock Module, ADC, PWM, Comparator, Serial Port Interface, UART and USART.

The students had hands-on session which enabled them to understand the concept on Programming MSP430.

Dr. M. Shivakumar, HoD of E&IE, teaching and non-teaching staff were present.
