Mysore/Mysuru: Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, State BJP Vice-President and Chairperson of Adamya Chetana Trust, appreciated the cleanliness in city and promised to join hands to make ‘plastic-free’ city.
Interacting with BJP workers at BJP Office in Krishnaraja Constituency here on Saturday, Tejaswini said that as soon as she enters Mysuru she will get a feeling of being in a beautiful city.
In fact, the Swachh Survekshan, an annual survey of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in cities and town across India, has begun here now. At this juncture, it was important for the citizens to support this campaign. In the wake of this, Adamya Chetana Trust, has started ‘Plate Bank’ here. They have planned tree plantation on every Sundays.
Ramdas urged the State Government to name the proposed Outer Ring Road (ORR) after Union Minister Ananth Kumar for his contribution to the country. This was one way of giving respect to the departed soul.
On party organisation in his Constituency, Ramdas said it was being done differently by appointing President for each booth. Besides, for every page containing the list of voters, ‘Page Pramukh’ is appointed to improve voting. This has been tried for the first time in the State. During COVID-19, the party workers visited every household in the Constituency to enquire every person, he added.
On the occasion, Ramdas donated 500 steel plates, tumblers and spoons to the newly-started ‘Plate Bank.’
