Mysuru: Two Software Engineers from Telangana were killed while two others sustained serious injuries, when the car in which they were travelling hit a roadside tree on Chamaraja Double Road here in the wee hours of yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as Saikrishna (30) and Sandeep (31) while the injured are Jagadish, who was sitting on the front seat of the car and Harikrishna, who was driving the vehicle. The injured have been admitted to a hospital in city.
All the four occupants of the car are natives of Telangana, who were working as Software Engineers at a private company in Hyderabad. They had come to celebrate the New Year and were on their way to Bandipur via Mysuru.
Yesterday at about 1.30 am, all the four were proceeding in their car on Chamaraja Double Road, when the person behind the wheels of the car lost control of the vehicle which rammed into the roadside tree causing serious injuries to all the four.
KR Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, rushed all the four to K.R. Hospital but Sandeep and Saikrishna had breathed their last by then and treatment is being continued for Jagadish and Harikrishna.
ACP (Traffic) Parashuramappa and other Police personnel visited the spot. A case has been registered in this regard.
