Mysore/Mysuru: Telugu Samskruthika Samithi, Mysuru, has organised ‘An Evening with Samavedam’ at PD Reddy Telugu Bhavanam in Ramakrishnanagar on May 26 from 6.30 pm to 8 pm. It features a divine discourse by Brahmashri Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma, a renowned spiritual luminary, recipient of the Samanvaya Saraswati and Telugu Koyila awards.
Profile: Brahmasri Samavedam, born on May 16, 1967, is an eminent Indian spiritual teacher, scholar, lyricist and journalist.
Hailing from a scholarly family, he seamlessly blends profound devotion with deep philosophical insight, making complex Vedic texts, Puranas and Sastras accessible to modern audiences.
He is renowned globally for his pravachanams (lectures) on ‘Prastana Trayam’ (Upanishads, Brahmasutras, Bhagavad Gita), ‘Ramayanam’, ‘Bhagavatam’ and various Puranas. He has authored extensive spiritual commentaries such as ‘Sri Rudra Bhashyam’ and ‘Sri Lalita Vidya.’ A highly acclaimed lyricist, he has penned the popular devotional series ‘Siva Padam’ and has contributed to Telugu cinema. He is the Editor of the monthly spiritual magazine ‘Rushipeetam,’ dedicated to preserving Indian cultural heritage.
