Temperature likely to touch 41 degrees Celsius in Chamarajanagar

Mysuru:  The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is going to be drizzle and light rain in Mysuru, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar districts till Apr.28.

There is going to be fluctuation in weather condition in Chamarajanagar and the weather forecast says that the temperature is going to go up from 37 degrees Celsius to 41 degrees Celsius.

In Kodagu district, which was considered a summer holiday destination because of its cool climes, the temperature will range from 36 degrees to 39 degrees, Mysuru district will be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, said the officials of the Organic Farm Research Station at Naganahalli.

There is going to be variation in minimum temperature in these four districts. In Mysuru, the minimum temperature is 23 to 25 degrees Celsius, Kodagu 25 to 27 degrees Celsius, Mandya 21 to 24 degrees Celsius and Chamarajanagar 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, said the Meteorological Department officials.

Good monsoon this season

The monsoon forecast for this rainy season is very good and the farmers need not feel anxious about lack or poor rainfall. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall. In June to September quarter, there are 95% chances of good rainfall in monsoon season, said the IMD Director.
