Dhruthi T Venugopal seeded eighth in the tournament scored an upset win over top-seed Fatma AL Nabhani of Oman 6-4, 6-1 and sailed into the semi-finals of women’s singles in the ITF $15,000 Women’s Tennis Tournament being held at Hua Hin, Thailand.
She will meet Hua-Chen Lee of Korea in the semi-final.
