Mysore/Mysuru: ‘The Path,’ a book written by Sqn. Ldr. Paridhei Singh (retd.), was released at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road in city yesterday.
The programme was organised in association with Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust and Mysuru Book Clubs-2015 Trust and the book was released by entrepreneur Ashvini Ranjan. Founder Chairman and CEO of Mysuru Book Clubs-2015 Trust, Shubha Sanjay Urs, received the first copy of the book. The book is about ‘spiritual, inspirational and motivational poetry.’
Retired University of Mysore Professor Dr. R. Indira, who was the chief guest, described Paridhei Singh’s achievements as the result of a better cooperation and encouragement.
“After retiring from Indian Air Force (IAF), Paridhei Singh has taken to literature, endearing the realm. Reading and writing are among the finest hobbies that spark new thoughts. It is inevitable to teach the significance of reading and writing to the younger generation that is engrossed in mobile phone, at least to bring the society oriented changes,” said Dr. Indira.
It is indeed a bigger challenge to produce a good literature, but it is possible if the writings have a literary touch, she opined.
In an interaction session followed by the book release, writer Paridhei Singh said: “These are a collection of lessons which dawned to my mind, when I asked questions to myself. It is very rightly said that, all answers are within us, we only need to ask and we only need to truly listen. I write for myself, to help myself. Everyday I learn from these writings. Thought everyone would benefit from them therefore I am sharing them.”
