Madikeri: The annual Cauvery Theerthodbhava at Talacauvery in Kodagu district will take place today (Oct. 17) at 7.50 pm, with thousands of devotees expected to gather for the sacred occasion.
Talacauvery, regarded as the birthplace of the Cauvery River, will witness special pujas marking the emergence of the holy spring. A team of priests led by Gururaj Achar and Prashanth Achar will perform the rituals.
A large LED screen has been installed to enable devotees to watch the Theerthodbhava.
As in previous years, the Kodagu Ekikarana Ranga will distribute anna prasada to devotees. MLA A.S. Ponnanna visited Bhagamandala and Talacauvery to review the preparations.
