Theft at KPA, bathroom fittings stolen

Mysuru: Surprisingly, bathroom fittings at Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) here have been stolen with the thieves executing their plan meticulously leaving no clues for the Cops.

A group of Police Inspectors had come to the auditorium in KPA premises yesterday for a yoga session. After a strenuous workout, the participants were said to have gone to the rest rooms at the auditoriums to freshen up. They were surprised to see the taps missing. The locks on the doors to the rest rooms too had been removed leaving gaping holes. The participants informed the matter to KPA authorities.

Though the auditorium is locked when not in use, a window is usually kept open to facilitate ventilation through which the thief could have gained entry, suspect  KPA sources.

KPA has lodged a complaint with Nazarbad Police alleging that 24 steel taps, seven steel brackets and two door locks had been stolen from the rest rooms of the auditorium.

As the theft has occurred within the premises of KPA, sources say that an internal inquiry would also be conducted.
