Thousands appear for KPSC FDA exam

Mysuru:  The written test for the recruitment of First Division Assistants (FDA), conducted by Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), was held at 72 centres across the city yesterday.

A total of 30,908 aspirants had opted for the Mysuru Centre, following which the authorities had set up 72 centres in the city, including Maharani’s College, SDM, Cauvery, Nataraja and        TTL Colleges.

While the first paper (General Knowledge) was held in the morning session (10 am to 11.30 am), the second paper (General Kannada/ English) was held in the afternoon session     (2 to 3.30 pm).

The exam was held under tight Police security, with the Police clamping prohibitory orders in 200 metre radius of all the  exam centres.

ADC T. Yogesh, DDPI Mamatha and KPSC Assistant Secretary M. Lakshmidevi visited some of the exam centres.

The written exam, which was earlier scheduled to take place on Feb.4 was postponed for administrative reasons.
