Three accident victims succumb to injuries

Mysuru: Three persons, including a Ph.D student from Jordan, who had sustained serious head injuries in separate accidents in city, breathed their last at city hospitals after failing to respond to the treatment.

In the first case, Hassan (29), a Jordanian, pursuing his Ph.D at JSS College here and residing in Gokulam, succumbed to serious head injuries which he had sustained on Sept. 26, following an accident.

Hassan was proceeding towards Nirmala Convent from Doctors’ Corner in Gokulam here at about 10.30 am on his bike but had forgotten to remove the side stand and wear helmet.

As he was proceeding, a Mahindra Bolero SUV came from the opposite direction and Hassan in a bid to avoid crashing  into the vehicle took a sharp left turn resulting in the side stand hitting the road.

Hassan, who lost balance, fell on the road and sustained severe head injuries. He was immediately rushed to Apollo BGS Hospital here, where he breathed his last early this morning.

V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Vivekananda, who has registered a case in this regard, is investigating.

In the second case, Vijayalakshmi (65), who fell from her scooter and sustained severe injuries after a dog came in front of her scooter all of a sudden last night at Vidyaranyapuram 18th Cross and admitted to JSS Hospital here, succumbed to injuries at the hospital yesterday midnight.

K.R. Traffic Inspector Manjunath, who has registered a case in this regard, is investigating.

In the third incident, Parameshwara Murthy (65), a resident of Alanahalli here, who fell from the bike near Nazarbad Police Station Circle on Sept. 27 and had sustained severe injuries, succumbed at JSS Hospital yesterday afternoon after failing to respond to  the treatment.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Inspector Harish Kumar, who has registered a case in this regard, is investigating.
