Three arrested for illegal transportation of sand

Mysore/Mysuru: The District Crime Information Bureau (DCIB) Police, have arrested three persons on charges of transporting sand from river bed and have also seized a Bolero vehicle used for transporting the sand.

Following information that sand was being transported illegally, the DCIB Police, supervised by Superintendent of Police (SP) C.B. Ryshyanth and ASP Shivakumar, who raided the place on July 19 night, saw that sand was being illegally extracted on the banks of the river at Mudukuthore village in Talkad Police limits and swung into action.

But the persons tried to fell from the spot in a Bolero vehicle (KA-01-AC-0876), which was loaded with sand but was caught by the Police, who arrested Chandramouli, Vijeth alias Veera and Kumara besides seizing the vehicle.

A case has been registered at Talakad Police Station.
