Mysuru: B. Ramesh, a soldier from Bhadregowdanakoppal in Yelwal hobli here, who was seriously injured during a crossfire between Army personnel and terrorists at Kupwara in Jammu & Kashmir on Apr. 26 and admitted to the Military Hospital in Srinagar, is said to be out of danger.
AC C.L. Ananda, who was in constant touch with Army officials after the family members of Ramesh did not receive any information about his health condition, was apprised of his (Ramesh) heath condition by the Army officials.
Ananda told Star of Mysore that three bullets had pierced the lungs, stomach and right arm of Ramesh and the bullets have been removed three days ago and added that Ramesh is out of danger and is recovering.
The AC has urged the parents, relatives and friends of Ramesh not to panic as Ramesh was being provided the best treatment at the hospital. It may be recalled that on Apr. 26, Indian Army soldiers came under heavy firing from the terrorists while they were patrolling at Panchagau in Kupwara district of Jammu, in which two soldiers had died.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army personnel retaliated by opening fire on the terrorists during which Ramesh was caught in cross-firing and was injured.
